The PIC restaurant
Valence
As soon as you step inside, the magic of the place takes shape in a long display case showing every edition of the Michelin Guide since it was first published in 1900.
Anne-Sophie Pic
At the heart of creativity
We then enter the heart of the house – the Pic gourmet restaurant – via a long corridor where we are immersed in both the family history and the present of the chef in the kitchen. This corridor is like a foretaste of the gustatory emotion to come. The room that follows is organized around a magnificent Baccarat crystal chandelier that delimits three spaces lit by large bay windows overlooking the gardens.
Three moods, but the same common thread: very feminine gray and powder pink color codes, details recalling the history of the house, Japan to which the chef is very attached, the presence of plants, and a hushed, sober conception of refinement. In fact, the lounges have been designed as a huge, convivial living space, resolutely open, an eclectic space where contemporary style meets references to the past. Because encounters are at the heart of Anne-Sophie Pic’s universe: encounters between flavors, with products and those who make them, with emotions, with other creative worlds. It’s these encounters that fuel his creativity. These lounges are an expression of Anne-Sophie Pic’s approach to hospitality: discreet and thoughtful, warm and simple.
The concept
Your stay at the pic house
Rooms are an invitation to laziness. Elegance is expressed in the purity and choice of excellent materials: leather, rosewood, silver-leaf screens and silk carpets. Gardens-oriented, they shield guests from the outside world to create an enchanted interlude.

A multi-sensory experience
Discovering rituals
My teams and I devote all our energy to transmitting these emotions to you indoors, in a harmonious revelation of the senses, in the spirit of a passer-by. Along the way, we invite you to discover rituals and pairings, with or without alcohol, to help you experience the creative process more intensely. This tea ritual, presented here by Yumi Nagase, is a perfect illustration.
Food and beverage pairings
The sea urchin in chiaroscuro,
creamy kuromame and Nikka whisky, Chanteclerc apple water and nasturtium condiment in harmony with Le Château, from Domaine Vincent Pinard, with its palette of complex notes of yellow and white-fleshed fruit, underpinned by minerality and liveliness.
